Easts Rugby Club is one of the most historic and respected rugby union clubs in the Australian Capital Territory, playing a central role in Canberra rugby since 1938. In 2025, Easts proudly expanded its program with the introduction of a Women’s 10s team, marking an exciting new chapter for women’s rugby in Canberra. The team enjoyed immediate success, finishing runners-up in their inaugural season and laying the foundation for the club’s ambition to enter a Women’s 15s side in 2026. This growth reflects Easts’ commitment to inclusive, future-focused rugby union pathways for women and girls across the ACT.

Building on on-field success across the club, Easts is also planning to enter a Men’s Seconds 15s team in the 2026 Canberra Suburban Cup. This follows a strong 2025 season for the Men’s program, where Easts finished runners-up, highlighting the depth, momentum, and growing demand within the club. The expansion strengthens player pathways and reinforces Easts’ position as a competitive and sustainable force in ACT rugby.
